How do these machines make fog?
Antari machines use a very pure glycol and water based fog liquid that is pumped by the machine into a temperature controlled heat exchanger that then vaporizes the liquid into thick clouds of fog. All fog machines need an initial warm up period. It will then generate fog for a short period then need to pause to reheat before they can make fog again. This will become a continuous cycle during its operation. The more expensive professional machines can make fog without the reheat cycle in between at certain percentage output (Antari X-Series, Z-800II, etc).
-
How much liquid do they use?
Please refer to Fluid Consumption Rate from the specification/option of each product. In general, the smaller machines will use about one quarter of fog liquid every two hours if run continuously. Larger powerful machines can use four times as much fluid if run in the same manner.
-
Can I run fog outdoors?
Yes, but you must protect the fog machine from the weather and moisture. Wind will greatly affect the visibility of your fog. All our foggers are safe to use indoor, but please be cautious foggers must be used in a well-ventilated space when for indoor application.
-
What is a cubic foot of fog?
There is no industry standard of what a cubic foot of fog is. The numbers shown in our descriptions are only useful as rough guidelines.
-
How can I keep the fog low to the ground or floor?
You may wish to opt for ANTARI ICE-101 and DNG to have low-hugging fog as they produce chilling ankle-deep fog by lowering the high temperature produce from the heater. Please click here for ¡§Low Fog¡¨ products.
-
Will the fog generate high temperature within short period?
The safety distance is set 50 cm from the spray nozzle. It is highly recommended to read Antari user manual beforehand
-
How long will the fog last?
It stays indoors for about 20minutes then generally vaporized. It also depends on the density of the fog liquid used. For example, ANTARI has 3 different fog liquid. FLR (pink) produces a light fog which quickly disappears. FLG (Green) creates a moderately dense and durable fog. FLY (yellow) produces an extremely dense and very long-lasting fog.
-
Will the device trigger alarms?
In general, fire alarm is activated when heat or CO1 reached a certain level and sensed by the sensor. It is unlikely the smoke/fog produced by our machine would affect fire alarms or CO1 detectors.
However, it is possible that smoke alarms/detectors may be activated by the smoke/fog come from our machine. In such case, the sensitivity of the smoke alarm defines how dense the fog/smoke would active the alarm. In general, smoke alarms would not be activated unless you directly inject smoke/fog to the sensor or the smoke/fog around your room is too dense. It is also possible the sensor is activated even with minor fog/smoke.
To avoid false alarm, you may also contact the supplier/producer for the mechanism of their alarms. If you are uncertain of what type of smoke detector your venue has, consult with the head of maintenance or, as a last resort, notify the fire department and do a test run.
-
Is fog dangerous to people who have asthma?
-
Will the wind affect the fog?
Wind is a big factor to affect fog. The particles that make up the fog are very small, 1 to 2 microns in size, and even a light breeze will quickly disperse the fog.
-
How much noise does a fog machine produce?
Fog machines do make some noise while they are generating fog. Generally, there are two kinds of sounds. The sound of the pump as it moves fog liquid from the reservoir to the heat exchanger, and the second kind is the sound of the fog coming out of the nozzle.
-
Do fog machines breakdown?
Yes, they are machines and like any machine it will fail at some point. Your goal should be to maintain your fog machine regularly after each use (please refer to Service/Maintenance). The most important factor that can affect fog machine is its choice of liquid. Always use fog liquid that the manufacturer recommends. Next you should always clean the fog machine according to the manufacturer¡¦s instructions.
-
Can an Antari Fog Machine used for pesticide or live plant?
So far our fog machines are only used for stage effects and we are professional at it. However, for live plant use and chemical use we do not recommend. Due to once you put in the chemicals then after high heat temperature process, the chemical will change state. Antari will strive our best to finalize a machine that is capable of doing that in the near future. For now, please restrict our fog machine use in only effect use. (eg. Fire dept, army drill, kitchen use, other testings)
-
Will the fog generated danger people and animals?
The ingredients of the material make no harm to skin, neither to the respiratory
system.
-
Will the fog cause any effect to the interior decoration, antique,
calligraphy, paintings, IT equipment or other fitting and furnishings ?
No. The fog is actually generated from vaporizing fluid through
thermal energy process by fogger¡¦s heater. It surely won¡¦t do any
damage to precious furniture, IT equipment and other fittings.
-
What if the fog sprayed on top of food?
Basically, the fog is non toxic. However, the original ingredients are
processed through chemical combination. It is recommended to discard the food.
